TheirFirstCar.com is a read-only reference site. We do not require an account, sell your data, or display behavioural advertising.
What data we collect
Email address (optional)
If you choose to sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address. We use it only to send you updates from TheirFirstCar.com. We do not sell, share, or transfer it to third parties outside of our email delivery provider. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Saved cars and compare selections
Cars you save or add to the compare tray are stored in your browser's local storage only. They never leave your device and are not transmitted to our servers.
Anonymous usage analytics
We may use analytics tools to understand which pages and features are used most. Any such data is aggregated and anonymous — it cannot be traced back to an individual.
Affiliate link tracking
When you click an affiliate link to a third-party site (such as Cars.com or Insurify), that site may set its own cookies or tracking parameters to attribute the referral. This tracking is governed by that site's privacy policy, not ours. We do not receive your personal data as part of the referral.
Cookies
TheirFirstCar.com does not set first-party advertising cookies. We use only functional browser storage (local storage) for preferences such as saved cars. If we introduce analytics, we will update this policy.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:
- Google Fonts — for typography. Google may log the font request.
- Affiliate partners (Cars.com, Insurify, and others) — governed by their own policies when you click through to their sites.
Your rights
If you have submitted your email address and wish to have it deleted, contact us and we will remove it from our list within 30 days.

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
